Chromodoris aspersa (Gould, 1852)

Chromodoris aspersa: predator damage

predator damage
Almost the entire posterior half of the mantle and an anterior piece, plus a rhinophore, are missing from this individual, probably due to predation. It was found drifting in the water column and was still able to crawl when placed on the bottom.
