Its cerata have brown cores and faint white rings. Natural history:  We haven't seen Cuthona poritophages on Maui but Larry Harris has recorded it from the Big Island. It's a nocturnal Cuthona that feeds on corals of the genus Porites rather than hydroids. Distribution:  Big Island: widely distributed in the Indo-Pacific.
