Identification:
This is a translucent-cream aeolid flecked with white. The rhinophores
and cephalic tentacles are frosted with white. The ceratal core is
mottled red-brown and the cerata have white tips with narrow subapical
red-brown bands.
Natural history:
In Hawaii, Cuthona sp. #16 is known only from
test panels set in Pearl Harbor. It is
thought that they were introduced by ships traveling from Guam to Oahu
for dry dock.
Distribution:
Oahu: also recorded from Guam.
