Limacina inflata (d'Orbigny, 1836)

Maximum size: 0.9 m shell
diameter.
Identification:
Shells of this species have a depressed spire. The body whorl is
strongly inflated and the lip extends as an elongated point.
Natural history:
Shells of Limacina inflata are
moderately common in sand samples.
Distribution:
Maui and Midway: circumtropical.
