Maximum size: 7 mm.
Identification:
This
is
a distinctive species with a translucent-pink body. The notum
has alternating violet-blue
and white scallops plus a central white band. There are brick red
patches on the front and on the posterior tip of the mantle. The
rhinophores and gills are lined with orange.
Natural history:
The
one
known Noumea sp. #5
was found under a rock at a depth of 3-4 m
(10-13 ft) at a moderately protected site.
Distribution:
Maui: widely distributed in the Indo-Pacific.

in Hawaii from Kapalua Bay, Maui by CP on March 14, 2008.
