Maximum size: 5.1 mm.
Identification:
This
is a translucent-cream species without orange spotting. The notum is
mottled with slightly darker white and covered with minute brown flecks
(only visible under magnification).
Natural history:
Gymnodoris sp. #5
is known from a single animal found at a depth of < 1 m (<
3 ft) in a moderately protected rocky habitat.
Distribution:
Maui.
Taxonomic notes:
First
recorded in Hawaii from Hekili Point, Maui by CP on Oct. 14, 1997.
