Philine(?) sp. #2: shell
Maximum size:  0.9 mm shell length.

Identification:  The shell of this species has fine spiral striae and two spiral brown bands.

Natural history:  Philine(?) sp. #2 is known from only one shell found in beach drift.

Distribution:  Maui.

Taxonomic notes:  The two brown bands are similar to those in Noalda spp. but the shell form suggests Philine spp. It was first recorded in Hawaii from Hana Bay, Maui by CP in fall, 1988.
