Common Species
The following 40 opisthobranch species are among the most common species in Hawaii. Some of them are present "all over, all the time" others sporadically or in particular habitats. Also, we've just selected them based on their frequency in quantitative samples modified by shell counts from sand samples and our subjective "averaging of habitats"--other choices are possible. Please remember that they represent only about 7% of the species in Hawaiian waters. So, if you can't find an exact match go here: all Hawaiian sea slugs.
